Winemakers Notes

Distinctively Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc in a medium bodied style.

Bouquet: Fresh and fruit driven with aromas of passionfruit and pineapple.

Palate: A classic partnership of herbaceous & tropical fruit characters with attractive balance and a long limey finish.

Viticulture

The grapes for this wine were picked for a range of flavours, from several Marlborough vineyards.

Harvest dates: 23rd March – 14th April 2008
Harvesting: Machine harvested
Sites: Various Wairau Valley sites

Vinification

Gentle pressing (pneumatic presses) prior to cold setting. The fermentation was carried out in 100% stainless steel tanks, with full temperature control. Fermentation temperatures were kept low and we utilized carefully selected yeast strains to emphasise classic Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc characters.

Style: Just off-dry, easy drinking

This wine will cellar well, but it is made for enjoying in its youth.
